Welcome to the Practicum Study Tour
The Practicum Study Tour will provide live teachings for those who have completed at least 75% of the Dance as Medicine Teacher Training of 2022.
The focus will be on what is much harder to achieve online such as circle work, embodiment, functional movement, body reading, space holding, ceremony, and the actual transmission of the medicine.
We will also work with the public, therefore you will get a chance to build mini-sessions, transmit the teachings in a small group setting, and either assist or lead aspects of a group session.
The 2nd stop will be in Val David, Quebec. The workshop location also offers accommodation should you wish to create your own retreat out of it.
Unite at Space Omeya
Stay on-site and dive-in, retreat style!
Omeya is a space of reunion with oneself, benevolence towards others, and harmony with nature.
Located just outside of the village of Val David; Omeya is just 1-hr away from Montreal, or 1.5 hr from the airport.
The space has 1 private and 2 shared rooms; all with a shared bathroom, a full kitchen to cook your meals, as well as 4 camping spots.
The workshop space is surrounded by the Laurentian forest, offers sun decks and walking trails, and the grounds will be exclusive to our group for the duration of the program.

Arrivals: 4 to 5 pm on May 4
- Thursday: Opening Circle 6-8 pm
- Friday: Group workshop + Fire Dance
- Saturday: Public Workshop
- Sunday: Circle Work
Departure: 2 to 3 pm on May 7
Public Workshop
Prepared and operated as a group:
- Theme: Elemental Dance
- Teachers will be given different transmission projects
- Try out your voice, somatic expression, and transmission.
- Open to all; no experience necessary.
Group Coordination
Luna Rose is our group coordinator.
She will assist in the following:
- Airport transportation
- Organize accommodation
- Ride & Meal share
- Support with specific needs
